I can't believe this picture will be 13 years old in April this year. Seems like yesterday. It was taken outside one of my favourite pubs, The Hatchet, in Bristol just before four of us attended an Angels and Airwaves gig in 2008. I had come across the band on itunes only a few months before and really liked them. I messaged Mike and told him to check them out and that they were playing Bristol in the near future and I was going to get tickets.

I didn't really hear anything until about 48 hours before the gig when Mike rang and asked if I had a spare ticket as he'd love to go. There's nothing quite like the excitement of seeing a band you really like for the first time, and excited we were. I probably hadn't seen Mike in a while when we went to the show that unseasonably warm April evening but we always managed to slip straight back into gear.

We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the show. I drove to Bristol but Mike kindly drove us all back when I was terribly overserved at the bar. Ever the gentleman. Forever missed. X
